The 8th annual Chippewa Falls Oktoberfest opened Friday and was greeted with much enthusiasm by the community.
The German heritage was abundant in all the different kinds of food and activities available to the public, and the beautiful weather didn’t disappoint.
“I think it reminds everybody that not only Chippewa Falls but a lot of people in the Chippewa Valley have a great German heritage and this is just a little bit of a reminder that it’s alive and well,” says Oktoberfest Festmeister Don Olson.
The festivities continued Sunday 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. with lots of music, dancing, and beer drinking along with a pumpkin carving demonstration that took place. — Alexis Abrahamsen
