In Augustof this year, an elderly man drown in the Chippewa River while members of his family searched for him in the river. Local media was quickly on the scene to report the tragedy.
Despite the fact that the man’s name was not released by officials until the next day, the Fox 48 news team filmed outside of the family’s home, revealing a mailbox containing the family name written on it.
To any of the man’s family or friends who had to find out about this tragedy while flipping through the channels, this not only seems extremely unethical, but also just plain tacky. Channel 48s affiliate would release the name days later via their website.
